East Midlands Area chat and rides thread

today i have been mostly fixing bikes. New freehub on surly and new chain links. Hoping tooth missing on chainring not too crucial given other bits sorted. New chainrings in post anyway, but may arrive too late.

Come on Geoff, give us a break...
John and I repeated Thursday's route with no punctures or mechanicals. Wasn't particularly frantic, but it was most enjoyable.

See you Tuesday.

Not frantic sounds good! Thursday was tooooo frantic I think!

Here are the images from a very enjoyable night ride. Nice pace but we still got the ground covered and hit 10 miles with Ed's detour...

Distance: 10.5 miles

Average speed: 9.84

Fastest 22.01mph

Real bummer you had the rim split :( If you need a spare wheel for the time being let me know - I have some spare.

Thanks to Haydn for coming along - hope you enjoyed the ride. Clearly our mechanical jinx extends itself to new members. We call it an initiation

Here is the map:

I had a spare front wheel, I had to swap it last night for my commute to work
Thanks for the offer,

glad you had a good ride see you next week.

Wow, I seem to be pulling quite a grimace in that photo! In reality I had a nice evening thanks! Off home to sort that tube now...
