This popped up on ebay a while back, I've desired a early merckx for a while having lusted after a frameset on hillary stone and just not having the money to buy it. So I sent the seller a message asking about size and condition, thanked him for his time and told him I would be bidding. A couple of days later he got back in touch to say as the seat post was stuck he was ending the auction and the bike was mine if I was still interested, all he wanted was a donation to a Parkinsons charity in return. After a 300 mile round trip the bike was mine including an additional dura ace wheel.

There was only going to be one choice of colour scheme. I'm a big fan of Eddy's Molteni team bikes. The plan is once rebuilt, and when life gets back to something like normality, to do some charity rides for Parkinsons on it.
