Picked up these Dia compe shifters a while back so I thought I'd pop them on the Merckx. They have a lovely light ratcheting action like the old suntour ones but suit braze ons. Not as elegant as the campag ones but certainly function better.

Great looking machine, looks like it's built to be ridden. I'm running Continental Grand Prix Classic's on my Ribble, with 50g latex tubes they ride like tubs. Really like the new shifters, they still retain the good looks of Campagnolo and an excellent alternative to the old pros choice of Simplex Retrofriction..👊
