Going to be a good un this one.....that saddle gave the game away moment I saw it I thought that looks in rather good order......old leather saddles speak volumes about the old bikes they sit on.

I think I know what that bike is......😁

You'll love this shot - saddle is complete with previous owners oily rag.

It's still there - I'm hoping when I pull it out and unwrap it there will be a puncture repair kit, some bistro money in old French Francs and a nude picture of his wife.

Looks like a pearl that saddle?
I bet there's a crusty bit of baguette and cheese wrapped up in that!
Undoing my Gramps mudguards I found he'd used a washer....not just any washer....just like these mudguards quality fit is an expensive thing..
Well so was the blooming washer!....

Bloody hell. First issue

Got the seat-post to move and loosened. Can't get the bastard to lift though. Think the post may be overlised or something.

Sweating like a pig, and needed a breather. Going to try some upward blows with an hammer.

Come back to it....when bottom brackets out you could nut n washer a bit of studding and make a slide hammer affair?

Top idea there mate! Another expat has arrived on holiday - he's a former Scottish Rugby player and got some bulk about him, so two of us may do the job. Really don't want to mess the saddle up. Saddle is a Pyrma and it's a beauty.

This, less chance of deforming anything than other forms of brutality

But a part of me wants to see you on the floor, camera timer on, daddy long legs pushing down on the frame, you holding unto a rod slid through a drilled hole in the post, pulling as hard as you can while wearing one of them beer hats, modified to take wine bottles.
