Dog Collar Alternative

Hi Guys & Girls,

After trying to find that which is the Holy Grail, a Kona Dog Collar, I have come to the decision that I need the bike on the road no matter what so I'm going down the V Route...

Does anyone know of a way to attach the Outer to the top tube without resorting to unsightly cable ties. Maybe a prupose made clamp of some kind?

I did a search and everyone seems to be adapting the collar which I can't do. There is a mention of a V-Stop clamp but I can't find a link to one.

It's a lovely 1991 Lavadome which deserves to be lovingly restored and crafted rather than thrown together with a few ties and sticky tape

Ah, nice find - not sure they will go visually with this build but I have a road bike being built - they may do for that.

I'm tempted to ask how much you would pay for a dog collar, but I suppose I'd better keep mine. You can always get a pukka clamp-on V-cable-stop from Billy's (among other places, I guess). http://www.billys.co.uk/english/group.p ... -backstops

Those back stops look dead on the job though too. Didn't even know they existed - shows what a good forum can do for you.
