i like the leather accents on ti bikes, brooks saddle, leather grips etc.

And I don't :D

But I do
i think it makes a modern bike look a bit retro and less High Tech

Agreed, but have you tried to ride any distance with leather grips?!
The saddles are good though, but only comfy after 1000miles :D

What frame are you going for anyway? That usually determines some of the finishing kit :D

MBUK seemed to love this On One http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... -08--31339

Its a tricky one, as much as I buy em to ride, I still wont get my modest Muddy Fox mucky yet! Saving it for spring summer

And dreams usually live in the past so thats why you might regret selling. I recently fell for a super light alloy modern but still didn't buy it, got a heavy Cromo bad boy in the post instead...

If I were you , I'd bin this ti-rigid nonsense and look for a Boulder Defiant. They are the Mutts Nutts.

I'd take DrS up on his offer for the Kona loaner. That's an excellent way of testing out yout idea without making any rash sacrifices. Besides, I think he owes you...;)

i have myself also a ti bike (Rob van der mark custom/proto) so know how it handles, only that one is equipted with Pace suspension at the front.

But i think the offer from the doctor is way cool,...

Kent Eriksen (founder of Moots and now solo again) is your man, waiting lists are not too bad at the moment, but think these will rise pretty soon after NAHBS. Saw some of his work in Boulder, SWEET SWEET SWEET

seatposts and stems are nice too

....... and go for a Rohloff ;)

agree with Mel on the steel forks.
