There's a very nice clark-kent on the bay at the moment... it's cool, it has nice welds and it doesn't cost too much so you could keep your jewels.

Otherwise buy a linskey or a seven.

I understand you, I've owned a Parkpre pro elite ti and currently I have a handmade in Italy ti rig, and it's the best ride you can get - especially if you want to use a rigid fork - my bike with a pair of ti forks was wonderful! Now I've sold my ti forks because I've been obliged to stop riding by a backache that seems impossible to heal, but it was brilliant :cry:

One last thing... there's not such a thing as a dream bike: after you've bought your fat cahnce ti and tricked it out with ird ti forks, sweet cranks and king hubs you'll always find that arctos sled that you'll start dreaming about

Are you looking for suggestions for a custom Ti builder? if so Steve Potts, Kent Eriksen or Sycip. Love the seatstays on the Sycip super unleaded. Then sell me your syncros cranks off that Fat, mount the frame on the wall and sell the rest :twisted: I checked out a Steve Potts a few months ago and he says $3400 for a fully custom Ti frame. I think the Potts would be my choice.

I think that Yo came to you with some bad karma, so I can imagine you let it go.

Don't know whether a full rigid ti dreambike is more a myth than a dreambike. With the exception of novokili maybe ti builds you mediocre forks ...or at least inferior to a steel equivilent.

i have a rigid mongoose titanium (mid retro 1999) i ride that a lot.

I have one of those also, it's a 10.9 but built with Look Fournales VTT fork and 1X8 and thumbshifters. My butt spends the most amount of riding hours on that bike. My next most ridden is a Dean Ti HT converted into a 2X8 fully rigid 69er.

The point? If your looking to buy a dream ride made out of Ti, buy it and you will never regret the choice.

I'd defo check out Lynski,the stock ones aren't as expensive as I thought they'd be,I also love the Indy Fab but its twice the price or do as DrS says and just get a Hei Hei,his is very nice

Bas, I could send my Hei Hei over for you next week- it's your size, run around on it for a few weeks and see how you get on. If you like Ti go out and get your dream bike- if you don't just send it back and keep your current fleet of bikes.
That way you will really be able to make the right choice.

I have a 6/4 Merlin Works. Merlin only do 6/4 to order now (its got so cluckin expensive) reserved for the Nasa work they do. But it's three times the torsional strength of 3/2.5, so frames can be made lighter but also much stronger. Mine weighes less than most Carbon frames at just 1170 grams.
What's the budget? If its high I would go for a custom build in 6/4 and what ever you do, don't buy a stock Seven! The geometry is all to cock, the top tubes are too high and angles all wrong, they make a lovely frame, but you need to spec' a dropped top tube and slacker angles.
