Disc Brake Adaptor Question

On a project I'm doing I'm converting my brakes fron canti's to disc. The frame is is old and has nothing on the rear to attach calipers to, no holes, nothing. I'm looking for advice on the best way to go about fixing the brakes to the frame, financially/aesthetically and with regard for braking effectiveness.
Thanks.

I've just done this for my son's GT, i did it the hard way, fabricated the disc tab, TIG'd it on and fresh powder coat.

It's going to be a hotrod, classic frame (tiny 14.5", well he is only 11 :D ) with a mix of new parts.

if youve got a flat plate dropout its quite easy to make a brake mount
and drill and tap it to your frame using the q/r as an additional mount point
i'll post some pics of my conversions when i'm up and about again
(bike accident)
