Dirty Bikes

I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to cleaning, wheels, cranks, rear mech etc usually come off following a really muddy ride.

Sometimes whish i had a modern bike to use in the mud that i cared less about but probably wouldn't be as much fun to ride.

all the ones that have been out in mud recently have mud on them. it will fall off on the next ride. probably.

yes. My work ride Trimble is badly in need of TLC plus the gears don't change correctly and the back brake moves but no stopping  oh and the headset need attention. Will have to wait till the spring. And needs new chain, chain rings, cassette. And a respray with new stickers :(

if it's really muddy I'll give it a hose down and quick lube, else it just gets shoved down the cellar.

my bikes are the equivalent of a working farm dog. no chocolate treats and cosy dog basket. this is sleep out in the kennel in the middle of winter stuff.

To the guy who posted the picture-movie of Jessica 'slag' Simpson.....I prefer Pink's parody of her in the 'Stupid Girls' video :)

you still would though...go on admit it

I don't clean my bike si wait for it to rain and put them on the roof of my care and drive around. Then i will lube the chain though.

So lets see pics of these mucky machines........
I'll start, although strictly speaking this is during a race rather than 3 days later. NPS marathon in 2007 at Sherwood Pines. Me and a teamy. He beat me, but my excuse was Id only got back from Oz a week earlier and was still jet lagged.
There was still grit in my shorts a month later
