Really? That surprises me a little as I would have expected the theory to have been done at least. I guess the main concern was whether to anodise it in blue or purple.
 
theres always a fine line between longer term R&D & marketing, IE you concentrate on R&D & miss the potential market. fairly common for companies knowing they've got weaknesses with a product, release it so not to miss the market & hope they can improve along the way without too many warranty issues.

it has to be said the pi$$ take prices of the early-mid 90s were a total joke, espically given how sh,te a lot of it was :LOL:
