Diamondback Axis TT

Re:

I tried for it but got gazumped with 3 seconds to go, such is ebay (mind you it would have been a bit of a pain to have to drive hundreds of miles round trip to collect, so I wasn't prepared to go over £475 really, having not seen it, to find it dented in places not disclosed in the ad, as the owner never got back to me with a photo of what the sticker on the top tube was hiding.)

Funny, I bid 527 with about 20 minutes to go masha ;)

If it was dented, I wouldn't have gone through with the purchase, even after a 4 hour drive to see it

Re:

Well done if you secured it, as said I just couldn't get reassurance from the seller (in the form of a photo with the top tube sticker removed), that it wasn't dented so I stopped at £475 and let it go. All the best and enjoy. I was actually busy at the end of the auction so I believe my final bid was with about 30mins. left to run.

Quite a risk this, with an unknown top tube and other parts well known for cracking. At least as it's pickup the buyer can give it a good check over.

I didn't unfortunately. I couldn't afford what I bid, let alone more. One of those things. I would have paid, had I had the money, a lot more. I was winning at £470 until the last second. A bit gutted, but at least I don't have to have an argument with my mrs.
