C cram Retro Newbie Sep 29, 2022 #1 After much soaking and lubrication, I finally got my rear shifter shifting on my GT Borrego. Smooth as butter now! But in the process the plastic cover underneath the shifter disintergrated. Anyone have a spare that isn't cracked?

C cram Retro Newbie Oct 17, 2022 #4 Good point. Hope these help: I had to use grip pliers to hold the nut which is why it is so distorted. Anyway, the plastic cover under the rear shifter. :
