I do not fear death, I to some degree fear how those close to me may be affected by my passing, but death is an inevitable transition.

I like to believe that life is a little scientific oddity, ultimately an insignificant spark in the expanse of time and space. We are made from everything there has ever been and everything there ever will be. Nothing of us remains intact,but parts of us may go on to be the building blocks of new life, parts of is may go on to be the building blocks of new galaxies. But there is no further concious existence that we will experience beyond our own mortality. In the time we exist as a conscious mass of cells we should take enjoyment where we can.

lost a pal that i started in the infants with..3 yrs back. The russian specialist came to his bedside fannying around the fact that he'd shortly be kicking the bucket (i'd already told him the news), he cut the lady short with a proper Manc 'Go and get yourself a leg over luv or a knife and fork and i'll be right enough here with dickhead features' (me). The moment she disappeared around the curtain he was into to me to get him kidnapped and back home, of course i was protesting and he was putting it right on me 'i borrowed you me 'uckin ladders you no gud bastherd'...I managed to slow him down when i told him he'd be switched to Manchester Royal and i thought i'd butter him up by asking would that do. He looked at me like i'd tripped the light fantastic and called me nearer to him, i offered me ear and he whispered in a barely concealed exasperated tone 'you dont think i want to 'uckin die here do you (hope hospital/Salford/enemy territory)? get us back across the border for **** sake'....we both sat on the bed pissing ourselfs.

The concept of hellfire was invented by Christendom to scare people into the churches every Sunday.

I'm pretty sure the concept of justice being served after death is very widespread across cultures and back through time. I think we all have a deep seated knowledge that things in this world are not as they should be and that justice should be served in the end.

I don't believe that anyone gets judged in the end or that there is anyone to judge us, but there are plenty of people I would love to see their get just deserts if there was

As usual what we have learnt in a lifetime could be of great use, but only to a body that is not failing.......i guess i'm lucky i have always lived ''in the now'' and had many lives so far re-inventing myself now and then, now middle aged i would like to have the same buzz for life, but i don't at the moment, but anything to do with nature, mountains etc and i'll always feel like i've made it

Wow, I thought it was only me who felt like that. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Anyhow, it's all balls and spheres, circles, round fings etc.

Look at all the round/circular things around you

Your eyeballs are round, your ears are of a circular, conical shape and you live on a world that is shaped like a ball that travels an orbit of circularity with other spherical planets in the milky way, our galaxy that contains our solar system which is guess what? A circular shape.

Records are a circular shape, CD's, clocks, the wheels on the bus etc. Look at the human body and see how many round things are attached. Look at the circle of nature/life. Look at the smilies - they could be any shape, but they are a circle...

Look at fruit from a tree, OK a greater proportion is of a curved nature, but I sure don't see any cubed apples.

I'm drinking this coffee in front of me from a round shaped cup placed on a circular shaped saucer and I stir it in a circular motion.

Everything is curved, so is life, we're on a circular trajectory, so we all come back to the start, but I can't explain the big black monolith at the end of 2001 -
