That is a peachy parts haul there.

Think it's gonna look pretty awesome. :D
Thanks, I got a NOS wheelset to match, I'll make some pics soon.

Re:

Lonely bike sir. Always fancied a Arran.

Can I ask where you got the black XT crankset please?

I've been looking for one of those for ages

Re: Dean Titanium [need help with USA parts choice page 4]

So, the idea of the black XT build is overboard as I'm leaning over to the dark side (e.a. ano parts ;-)) lately.
I got a red Kooka crankset, and was thinking about an all American build.
So Ringle, Kooka, WI, King etc.
I need some help from you guys in deciding what parts and what coulours to use.
I like the idea of getting the red, blue, green, yellow from the logo back, but it has to be subtile.

What I have ion mind now is:
Red Kooka crankset
Blue Ringe hubs
Green Ringle stem
Yelow ?? saddle

or

Red Kooka crankset
Green Ringle hus (the green isn't very bright though)
Blue ?? sadlle
Yellow Ringle stem

or

Red Kooka crankset
Blue handlebars
Green Ringle hubs
Yellow Saddle

And so on, the combinations are almost endless...
What do you guys like best?

And what other parts are a good choice?
What shifters and mechs? (has to be usable, so no Paul or something like that, leaves only Gripshift and SRAM?)
What saddle?
What rims?

Thanks
Jeroen

On Ti frame I suggest red or purple anoparts. I get what you wanted with all those color but I do not think it will look as good as you hope...

Re:

I know there is an anti-ano vibe on this site and usually catalog spec is preferred. Back in the 80s/90s in NorCal, our bikes were always colorful. As soon as our shop got the latest Ringle, Grafton, Cook Bros ano component, it was bolted on our bikes. The stock Shimano/Suntour stuff was viewed as boring. I don't necessarily feel the same way now though.

I have seen Deans with the multi-color ano that matches the decals (red, blue, yellow and green) and they look good IMO.

Re:

I'd be inclined to agree with Mr Boston and Mr Dare :)

Maybe going for mostly silver components with colour highlights/accents?

Having said that, it is your bike and you have ride it and look at it, so you have to be happy with it :D ...I quite like your idea of different colour components, but I think you may need to experiment to find what works and what you like, and it may well 'evolve' through various guises before you hit the nail on the head! ;)

Maybe see if you can look at other ti frames with different colour bits on and see what takes your fancy. There are a few in my sig that may be of interest ;)

Have fun :)

Here's a few (to save too much looking!) that I did earlier...

Re: Dean Titanium [need help with USA parts choice page 4]

Cheers guys, I know it can be to much easily, but I have never had any ano on any bike, and I got this itch now. :)
I do like the idea of mostly silver parts and some small details in other colours.
The cranks are already a fairly big chunk of red, so some green QR's, yellow seatpost holder and blue brake handles might be more subtile.

I would just pick one color, and add a few pieces of that color. DEAN's have very bright graphics, and it will be easy to start making it look like a clown bike. Here is mine, with a little blue ano:

I have a DEAN Ti threadless stem that I wont be using.
That Dean looks great, allthough I'm not a big fan of so much Dean logo's, but on yours it looks fine.
I might be interested in the stem, how long is it?
