Yes they have gone! Not finished yet though, been too busy, (this is going to be the slowest build in history!!) but here is a pic for those that are interested, I think it makes the back end nice and clean? I had little interest in saving them for practical purposes so they had to go.

I reckon those dropouts are just about identical to my 90 marin

They do look very similar, just had a look at your build thread (and lost another half an hour of my life!!! awesome!!) yours had one eyelet per side and mine had two. Were the eyelets brazed on yours? Mine were cast as part of the dropout.

Rear and front were cast with the drop outs, upper were turned and brazed on, the chain stay bridge was tig'd and the threaded insert in the seat stay bridge was brazed. All of them fell off before it went for coating ...
