I'd say it's common on Estays - to keep some triangulation in the main frame.

What a load of balls... doesn't AI know the different between a V brake, a U brake and cantilevers? No mention of elevated stays either!

I always remember picking up the Extreme Comp with XT on it either On your bike in Tooley Street or Covent garden cycles and it weighing an absolute ton!
