some of his music from the 80's was great. Under Pressure? I love Lets Dance as an album.

Cat People is awesome. Even Survive from the 90's (early noughties?) was brill, he's a true legend in my eyes. The King of Cool. I hate seeing him age, I want him to be around forver.

He even pulled off Jared the Mulleted Goblin King! (thats not a euphamism)

actually, not at all.

I too used to sit in the 'it was only good in the 70's/when they were stoned camp' too.
but now I appreciate other decades much more than I used to.

The production on some of the later albums is superb. Very hit & miss in regards to content, but its Bowie's innovation that I admire the most.

I don't really sit in any camp about Bowie's music, I just think his later stuff isn't very good.

As for Bowie being cool, a bloke that tries that hard, can't be cool.

What I do know is, i'm glad you enjoy his music.
