Da funk is this...

Omg this is faffaciousness level 10...🤣
Here's a thing....where the bars are formed and where the material goes through the most form change...so inside of a curve and outside of curve "stretch/crush" the acid gets to work pronto! But on the flats where theres been less working of the tube it's slow!
Is it going to happen how I'm hoping?
Dunno! 🤣
Will I have bars left?
Dunno!
S'all a bit of learning...

Meanwhile the paint salvation is progressing rather well 😁
Might just might be able to get the headset in and fit forks later tonight... 🤩

And we have a result...😀

Like a boss......

To get a fairly even texture was an absolute mare....it's also rather deep to what I was hoping for...🤨 Gently now....I won't be riding them in anger and they sure are thick wall bars...fingers crossed style before sense !

Mickeys first test run on these bars:

Looks great though mate, good job. Challenge the integrity of components! Yee haw!

Well they're still twice the weight of the bars on Nocim.....bout 80 years younger and no galvanic corrosion so what could possibly go wrong 😁

So immediately after the shocking acid attack on my handlebars and finally finishing the paint job it became apparent I had a little problem...
Well In fact I thought for a moment it was game over....
A quick wheel in and crank on moment and chainline is.......3.2mm......out .....and out in the way of oh sheeeeet......nice one Mickey....great work ....really applied yourself there .. excellent stuff......t*#t !....
It all fitted and number crunched perfect after setting stays....yeah I hadn't made the chainring but that was done to measurements...what had gone wrong? I dunno...so I walked away from it for a few days....

Then I found that scrap of paper with all the doodles all the muffamatics and part specs I'd so sensibly put down in Ink and then promptly lost in my file archiving system of organised chaos🙄

Where'd I eventually find it?

Deep down in there....
