Good reply like itHow cyclists compared themselves pre-Strava?
Yeah it's next level... quite what the level is I'm not sure ...I so wish I had all the paint photos there was lots! They'd show how I "done" it wether that was the easy way I don't know! I reckon there was about 10 hours alone in just the maskingThis build is next level I’d like to see how you go about doing that So Cal style paint work
I have no idea but does it have a nickname like “the persuader” or “bad Betty”?Well I'm having a monster clean up and tidy in the workshop .... swarf, dust tools and junk everywhere.....not paint resto friendly ! Yeah paint .....got to salvage this paint job. I'll admit I've allowed myself to be happily distracted by the hotrod! I guess I lost my mojo for a mo....That last setback was an absolute kick in the proverballs! Oof!
Anyway I just found this....

You sir are onto something!I have no idea but does it have a nickname like “the persuader” or “bad Betty”?
Chainstay widening? You sir are onto something!
It does persuade
And it now has a name
Winner!...well close enough...it's how i squeeze chainstays down for bigger rings or less tread width! It supports the inside like a splint .....didn't think it'd work as well as it does.Chainstay widening?
Bloody hellfire just thought I'd scored a dream job then I get an even better offer!I've only just discovered this thread Mickey, and having now read it through from start to finish I have two things to say:
1. Get cracking. We need more updates because this one is approaching legendary status already.
2. You've been promoted from Special Projects to Head of All Things over at The Imaginary Bike Company That Does Not And Will Not Exist.
Congrats!
