Cycling: is there a spiritual side to it?

Or a horsefly embeds it's face in that bit of back above your arse that's left exposed as your t shirt billows out in the breeze.
 
There is a concept called "flow" ,occures when something is done properly.
Other concept is focus or hyperfocus.
Riding is active meditation.

I like the comments that are about the definition of "spiritual".

I believe the concepts of matter and spirit are man made, byproducts of using words to describe our world.

Perhaps we could add 'ego death', aka 'ego dissolution': those moments of feeling 'one' with the world rather than a separate(d) individual (and explained clearly and concisely here: https://www.britannica.com/science/ego-death). I think that's the feeling @Imlach was getting at.
