He lives somewhere inland from Bordeaux and also complains about being miles from anywhere. Is anywhere in France near anywhere else?

...... so that would be east to west which is a nightmare (6 or 7 hour drive) since all roads lead to Paris.

It, would involve lots of nothingness between somewhere's after getting lost anywhere with poorly signposted deviations leading to nowhere.
