A bit of an update on Joes custom 29er…
After not being used for a while and after being loaned the bike on a couple of occasions I managed to get Joe to let me buy the bike from him. ( on the understanding if ever got bored of it he would have it back ).
He has got no chance on this as once ridden you know this bike is a keeper.
It is the nicest, most comfy hardtail I have ever ridden. I love it.
I had a bit of an issue with the top tube cable stop cracking when I fitted a dropper so decided it needed a bit of alteration and a new paint job.
The boys at Blue Whippet Paintworks did a cracking job of the new paint fade scheme.
Spec was altered and cable stops removed to make it run 1 x 11 earlier this year and I have put a few miles one it since then. Just changed the tyres this week for a bit of winter knobbles rather than the semi slick things from the last photo.
Looking forward to getting some off road in over the next few months.
I even managed to get Joe to part with the road bike brother of this frame that is on here somewhere and I’ll update this at some point
