creak creak creak creak

It's getting boring; everytime I pedal I get a creaking from the cranks. I've tried tightening, loctite, etc

Any other tricks?

Sounds to me like you've over-tightened the sfot metal cranks onto the hard metal square-tapered axle. Thus causing the "holes" in the crank arms to splay outwards. Once this happens the creaking is terminal I'm afraid and a new chainset and/or left hand crankarm is required.

i had this on an old xt (riding with a loose crankbolt ) i put sillicone in it which worked a treat

are you sure its the cranks? I swore I had a creaky BB area & turned out to be the rear QR (tho my frame mega amplfies any noise!)

Check your chainring bolts too

Grease c/set bolts,grease crank bolts,grease pedal threads,grease bb thread`s if it still creaks then it`s snapped lol

that's what I found, when I thought it was cranks. Turned out 4 had undone themselves and the fifth had completely gone :shock:
