Hoping someone can give me some advice and point me in the direction of some cranks for the upcoming build for my son. He's 12 and probably about 4'9" tall so I'm guessing 165mm cranks would be the most suitable? I think something like the Trailcraft cranks in the pic would be ideal but they're out of stock for the forseeable. Does anyone have any suggestions? It's for a 1x9 setup and something with a direct mount chainring ideally, just because I think they look nicer!

For a wide variety of cranks in shorter sizes, try Spa Cycles. But they do largely square taper. I'd be tempted to go with 160mm. As the cranks are only £25 it's not a bank breaker to switch as he grows.

Thanks, I'll check them out
