Ive a spare mavic 220 in sending south and to save a box and lots of postage im intending to place it INSIDE a tyre(cut then taped to remove the excess)
This would then be wrapped in plastic bin bag strips and tape.

Problem is the tyre is cracked only but the tread is good. And its a skinwall psycho.
Theyre never going to make any more. Sure its cracked but the rubber is still quite flexible and maybe the skinwall a little frayed in places but im having the issue that i just dont want to cut it :?

I could probably find a cheapo but should I ? Delay sending it and its been paid, so id rater it went sooner rather than later.
I cannot get over the fact that im removing something someone could use. Ive lots of old tyres, too many now and i cant even give them away. Do i really need to keep this ? Should I ?

If it's the one you got on the pink boat anchor then don't cut it. Usable tyres will be usable till the sidewalls go (like my old smoke did not so long ago ..)

Shame to waste!

You gave me it ;) and no i dont think so, labels not easy to read.

On the claud. The other a blue psycho2 blue/black sidewall. Im a bit of a cleaner  so you might not recognize them :) but thats their origin.

Ive them listed on our trading section as pick up karma, along with a number of others. If you want them back, or any of the others, just say so and ill meet you in the same spot.

Re:

You don't really need to keep it, especially as it's cracked.
Why not use some foam pipe lagging to protect the rim?
Fairly cheap from B&Q or elsewhere, just tape it to the rim like you would the tyre. Works well.

 Ah wished Ah hud nae speart .

I't done now. in its cut down tyre ,wrapped in bubble and tape.

Not sure how the post works in the UK but I would rather use a box than a tire because of the weight.

We have a company called the royal mail who for centuries has been taking the money out but not investing enough by putting it back in, so theyre on their last legs and charge for everything. Theres been about 4 price hikes in the last year.
They use volume and weight and then a bit on top
