Coyote ultralite / koga miyata sky expension / fastrax magnum frame

In the process of building this frame back to service and was wondering if the branding of either koga or coyote etc originated from the same frame ie the fastrax magnum. As mine stands with the coyote branding it seems to be exactly the same as the koga miyata sky expension frame?

As you've guessed, these frames were sold under several brands. Manufactured by Hodaka, they were sold under their in house brand Fastrax, as seen on the original rear shock you have there. There is a little history of Hodaka and Fastrax here https://www.fastrax.com.tw/
The frame number may be on a sticker under the carbon main frame and I'd guess starts H7. Please let me know what it is if you can find it.
The Fastrax bikes were either called 'Magnum' or 'F1'.
In the UK, Coyote brought in several generations of the Hodaka frames. Yours is the first version. I've got both an F2 and a DH, pictured in my thread https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/coyote-dh.421541/

The Koga-Miyata branded frame was the same, but whereas the Coyote/Fastrax frames were the same colours, the Koga-Miyata had their own scheme. See the thread https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/koga-miyata-sky-expension-1997-downhill.168576 for example.

Fantastic, knew I was on the right trail. Built up is there a value attached to these bikes?

There's another recently appeared on the Coyote Cycles Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1146631466364817/
Same colours as yours but has both Fastrax and Coyote stickers.

Value? Whatever the market wants to pay.

What's the history of your frame?
It's been ridden, came from a bike shop clear out which I took on as a few projects. As far as original owner etc couldn't tell you it's new to me this week. I've stripped and part rebuilt it so far with mid/mid high component, a mix of newer LX and older xt. Just gauging a price range as it will be up for sale
