Covering My Tracks.

OK. As you know I have lost my job (Tossers) and I will have to give back my PC. I want to remove any files of any use to them in the future and don't want their IT guy to know how much time and how often I have been here! I want to stop short of reformatting the hard drive.

What do I need to delete??

Ive used Acronis in the past (not for quite the same purpose, but it does the job).
You can get a free download from here but if your IT group is anything like ours, you will obviously need admin rights in order to be able to install it.

You could go for the straight forward option of emptying everything from your internet cache, all cookies etc from your user profile as well as recent files etc. but this may leave tracks behind

PeeBeds, I thank you. That works rather well doesn't it? No more trace of glitter.com (I would like to point out that was a joke. I have no idea if such a site exists, check at your peril I should imagine.)

I really would like to nuke the hard drive or load the armagedon virus so it kills every PC they own but I can't. I hope to pick up work from them on a self employed basis. I was the only person there who can handle the questions they are going to get and if they want to sell anything more advanced than a tape measure they will have to call me!

I have sod all chance of a full time job in what I have qualifications and experience in at the moment (the construction industry, need I say more?) so for the next 12 months or so HAVE to earn enough for us to eat.

All of the 20Gb of training notes and instructions I wrote and they seemed to think I would leave on the PC have gone though. I can if I'm provoked load some QUALITY porn onto their website!!!
