Could anyone help to identify this DISC BRAKE? Thanks!

Dear MTB enthusiasts!

I am new to this forum. I am collecting vintage MTBs and Road bikes from the 70s-80s and live in Vienna.

I just bought a vintage AMP Mountainbike. It is equipped with a very strange front disc brake. I am not sure if this is self-made. It looks like a prototype somehow.

I thought I will find some experts here in this forum. Do you have any idea? Would be very appreciated.

Thanks a lot for your comments!

All the best from Vienna! Ron

Hope Mk1 ATD Disk Brake

Hi!

First, I have to thank you all for helping me so quickly! That was really fast!

So it is a Hope Mk1 ATD, right? Just one more question: Why does it look so home made. Has it been modified to fit? Are these signs of use or are some adapters self made?

Thanks again !!

Best regards from Vienna,

Ron
