Copper's Tea Morning...

people like technodup do affect you and yours.

They do.. unless he's on a wind up.

We (myself and the people I used to knock about with) used to behave really badly on the road.. done stupid things and really stupid speeds.
Bit hard for me to be pious under those circumstances, a frown, roll of the eyes and a comment to the Wife is about as good as it gets.

Or the laugh as they head into a ditch.. always funny, that is.

well thats ok then. as long as you only do it near kids and on busy fast roads then all's good. bet you dont look both ways when you cross the road either.

Wait two weeks, send for the photo, wait two weeks, write back with some gumph about not being sure, wait two weeks etc...you can make it go away.

I've escaped 5 and taken the course once. Aim for the course if it is all going badly, you'd be mental to take the points if given the choice. 3 may not matter but the next accidental 3 taking it to 6 will.

My father does the same and it is worth doing even if you are of high moral standing because in one case they sent him the photo and it was not even his car...

I'd rather speed and take my chances than trundle everywhere at 30.

Does anyone else speed up when you see a sign that displays your speed? It's especially good in a twenty's plenty zone, wee sad faces all round. Twenty is not plenty, I'd be quicker on my bike ffs.

I've had tickets for not wearing a seatbelt, no tax and parking. Just need a speeding one to complete the set.

I've discovered the one recently installed outside my house is a great source of amusement. I assume to avoid competitions, if you pass it at over 49 it doesn't light up. Bah, no fun :(

All i know is that i drive the limit and the amount of aggro i get for it around here is ridiculous, usually from young men driving civics or lexuses, you know the types.

Tail gating, cutting you up, pulling alongside, threatening etc etc...its a macho thing for them i suppose, but some of the shit i see done on the roads is a complete pisstake. Cameras don't solve any of that, because people just hammer it between them...what it needs is more traffic police driving on roads other than the motorways.

About not being sure of what?

Anything, it doesn't matter. There are so many people fighting to send in the cheques for £60 they are snowed under. At the very least for £60 I want a photo.

I'd always request the photo.. but there's a limit as to what you might not be sure of..

The old 'don't know who was driving' thing doesn't work any more.
