So I finally have myself a set of crack free CBR RSRs. My all time favorite MTB crank. They were brought onboard to my collection to go on my 93' Cannondale BOTE. The anodization was way too far gone and the only solution (I thought at the time) was polish silver. Round up some black chainrings and call it a day...
While I was very happy with the silver arms/black chainrings/black decals:
After a few weeks it started wearing on me: I fell in love with BLACK Cook Cranks BITD > maybe I should paint them?
Surely not, paint will never last?
I though, what do I have to loose? I can always go back to polished, right?
So off they came, did my best effort with rattle can paint and waited a few weeks to cure, the applied white decals.
Super happy (as long as the paint lasts). Now, on with the silver chainrings...
Now I'm torn.
Silver rings or Black rings?
After watching a vid with an amazing Yeti FRO that had black on black Cooks I really wanted to see the difference.
I think both look great but very curious about others opinions here. With the polished silver frame the more black the better?
Let me know please, black rings or silver rings? I'm kinda leaning toward the black rings...
