I too have sinned. After a winter of kidding myself that I don't mind rubbish brakes and tyres I have been compelled to sin.
I'm building up another Yo Eddy but with 80mm fork, modern 2.3 tyres and disc brakes. It needs a new seat tube too so it's getting a forward facing slot to keep the shit out while I'm at it.
Some more modern bit will probably end up in the mix but as long as it rides like a Yo i dont give a shit. Wow, a Yo that stops!

Building a bike that works is great. I myself a have a 'Hot Rod' that works ace! But we all need those lovely looking and wonderfully built non working bikes to make us all feel as one, Now can we have a group hug?

Just found a shop that'll let me go above the £1000 bike2work limit ( ) so am giving serious consideration to cashing in all my chips, retro and modern (except for my grey Clockwork ) for a brand spanking new Orange Five. I feel unclean.... Help me....

I'm craving a (Classic steel) modern with stoppers and front boingers too, managed to miss teh target a bit last year. however I'm also dealing with much retro love with several retros in build and evolution. Nuts I de retro'd years ago! first to go BMX/motorbike transport, and second to buy an 4x bike, and here I am again, not selling the retros though even if they do bounce me around and don't stop.

Only prob is my modern has turned into very rigid 26" wheeled BMX, oops Better get some miles on the retros this spring summer then...

I am feeling saintly - currently in the process of selling my only modern steed, leaving me 100% retro. (although I may have some modernish forks and discs on the next build)
