the manchester ship canal was plyed by concrete barges for a large portion of it's early life. there are some not far from me layed up in a side cut. very few folks locally know or care about them, but you occasionally find a pair of bearded gents wandering round looking for them. nice to be able to point them over the right gate/field/bramble bush to find them.
