Re:
Thanks for the nice comments.
So far I've only been able to sneak out on the Dream for an hour, but the differences are apparent right away.
The 'spring' in the Master's rear end isn't there, those fat chain and seat stays provide a very stiff rear end on the Dream and it feels like all the power input is transferred through them.
It makes it sound as if the Master has a stodgy rear end, but the skinny steel stays have that little bit of give resulting in all day comfort, whereas the Dream would tire you quickly I think.
I'm sure the saddle will split opinion too, but as a fan of the Romin on the Master (and my Tarmac SL4 and winter bike!) I wanted to give the Power a go as it's based on the same shape with more of a nod to riding on the hoods / drops, perfect for quick rides. You really don't miss the nose of the saddle, infact I quite like it, the wider cutout doesn't pressurise the tender bits but then as said, I've only been out for an hour on it.
The Dream has been put together to be used as a race bike this season and I'm happy that it feels 'racey' to ride, I'd take the Master if I was heading out for the day though, if that makes sense.
