Claud Butler Titanius - The Catalogue correct build

I have an 1 1/8 stx headset if youd like buddy :)
Don’t tempt me!
The freak in me wants it, but the straight catalogue nerd knows it’s wrong 😑

👍 Ti is an excellent choice here. All those salty minerals sweated out dripping on the top tube and gathering around cable guides etc. just ruins most steel frames eventually. Surely though you will use a different rear wheel when on the Turbo trainer?

I guess any 700c wheel with a road block and specific Turbo trainer tyre would do the job (canti straddle cable unhooked).

My TACX trainer has settings for 700 & 26” so no need for a different wheel, but yes I do have a trainer specific smooth hard tyre.

Well, she’s done.
Outdoor photos to be taken tomorrow ready for Decembers BotM, just for the fun of it obviously.
Been delayed whilst waiting for cables and of course once fitted I then realised the triggers needed a strip and service 🤦‍♂️ Anyway all sorted and running well.
I got a few silly goldie looking chain stuff knocking around that were never seriously going to make it on any other build so I thought I might as well use them up on this one.
The only original surviving components that didn’t make it back on were the pedals. They’ve been sprayed poorly with silver at some point and missing a few bits, so, as this build is for the trainer I thought I’d use a pair of one side platform the other side SPD (I think these were Kama’d to me by @legrandefromage a few years back?)

Maybe i'm wrong, but this frame has cromo joints, so there is still some areas where there is a chance of salt damage, especially the meeting of the two materials.

🤔 Mmmh. Back to the drawing board @Peachy! :p

TBH - a towel on the top-tube away from the rivets and joins it may be OK.

Don't worry Woz ;) , because unless @STX-RC knows something I don't there's nothing to worry about.
The rear triangle and head tube are stainless steel, that includes the integrated lugs, the three main tubes are titanium & I've rigged her up with stainless steel cables. But I may well still use a towel to save the stickers. 🤪
