Wheel re-builds have gone well, 8 replacement spokes were needed, anodised rims cleaned up nicely & all topped off with a NOS Shimano clear spoke protector, (well there’s one in the advert and I had one on the shelf so I had to didn’t I?)
Psycho’s found, now just need the obligatory shower scene!
Just waiting for cables now.
I must say, I think it’s coming together quite nicely and all the STX-RC kit has weathered rather well. I’m thinking if the heating bills go up again I wouldn’t mind flogging the White Industry kit off of the “sound” Titanius and swapping this lot over
But then that would cheat @longun who I know is desperate to give the WI a white gloved fondle next year!
ok, I know you get it @Woz but just in case anyone else is confused, here’s my thinking;
This isn’t a turbo trainer specific build, obviously. But I do need to strap a bike to my trainer and of course I could use one of a number of finished Cape Wrath’s in storage, but… I set my trainer up in the basement as it’s nice & cool. However, because of the damp, the humidity is quite high and stationary training often leads to sweat dripping straight down onto the bike.
Not ideal for my cherished steel lovelies!
Ergo, my choice of a titanium/stainless steel and aluminium bike.
The reason for the complete build? Well why not? & also if I didn’t I’d probably lose or even use the miscellaneous none trainer required parts that make this possibly the only complete original Titanius.
