Classic Witcomb possibly?

Johnnybikes

Retro Newbie
I recently purchased what I believe now is a Witcomb, and according to a few BF members as well. All the decals are wrong and the parts are likely not original. The bike even looks repainted.
I would like to determine the year of the frame and maybe even some history. I know it's British from the wraparound stays, and they appear to be in the Witcomb style.

Hi

I picked up a frame a couple of years ago, the paint work was original the decals faded but u can just make them out.

The lug detailing on my frame is identical (Nervex late 50s style) and also the seat stay wrap over detail, I have learned is specific to Witcomb, this is from all of my intaweb scourings of late, I am pretty sure that the bike pictured is a Witcomb LX Professional, I think you have the genuine article, here are some of the pics of my frame and also some online resources I found interesting.
