Chrome plater

Looking for a recommendation for chrome platers for road fork crown and dropouts. Used to use capital chrome but gone now. Don’t mind paying a bit more for a reasonable turn around time!

I’ve personally used these guys fir the copper plating that appears on my Derek Roger’s tribute bike. They are great & do a wide variety of finishes.

Vehicle and General in bedford do a lot of our stuff..but as with most chome in the uk, have a chair handy when the quote comes back!

Its actually cheapr to ship mudguards etc to china and back to have them chromed! We did it last year for a pair of guards and a bsa fuel tank.....uk £650. China inc shipping £160!

Its a dirty industry, and that's why they have mainly gone from the uk. The small guys just could not afford to upgrade kit to comply.

Thetford had several shops, now sadly all gone.

But, in line with the uk's bizarre take on environmentalism, its fine to f-up other peoples countries, doing all the dirty work we have green washed from the uk, whilst still using the world polluting products....

Fancied this for a GT frame I have, but suspect the cost would be a bit offputting :O

Thanks for all the replies. Bike frames (forks) are apparently a bit specialist. Quite often they polish too much and you lose detail in lugs etc so was hoping for a personal recommendation from someone who had had frame/fork parts chromed.
