Chrome Dilemma - inspiration needed

Chrome stays etc. resist knocks and chain scratches. I'm having a frame refurbed by Chris Marshall at the present and will be keeping half chrome forks and rears. I think it looks smart.

Chrome stays are indeed great for reducing damage due to the chain bashing the frame. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with chromed dropouts though, as sometimes they mean that the QR skewer doesn't always "bite" properly causing the rear wheel to slip in the frame under huge efforts :(

LOL at Old Ned

I once twisted the swing arm on a Santa Cruz Superlight by making a huge effort (combined with being a bit of fat bast) but don't think I could do it now without the aid of a club hammer

My old Hirame 022 frame should give you an idea comining up for post accident restro.

Nb 25 year old chrome
