Chinese 26" tan walls -Innova Pro 'Bobcat' and 'Cross Fit'

Innova is the budget brand of Schwalbe IIRC.

Edit: Brain got working, no it isn't. IMPAC is Schwalbe's value brand.

Hi, i do run the cross fit on my 1989 Gilles Berthoud MTB since a few weeks and i do like them a lot.
470g light, very smooth and good traction on dry ground + they do look great, better than Billy Bonkers with the huge and bulky decals.
It's maybe good to know that the 2.0 look rather like 1.75 size, the are sold as folding but I wouldn't call it in that way and tread and walls are rather thin, not sure if protection is good, but so far any issues.

under 500 grams for a mountain bike tire is pretty good. I would imagine they are fragile. they do look like they'd be great for a drop bar gravel build if they aren't too flat prone.

I've looked at these too. They were on ebay at £18.50ish a pop but they then suddenly went up to £20ish... Innova are the makers of the very cheap Bell tyres that appear in Home Bargains now and again, I've got emergency sets in the garage. They are sub-2" and look quite skinny on a MTB but in other regards they seem OK. Needless to say, all the ones I have are all black. AliE have them [crossfits] for about £7 a tyre but the shipping is a killer for the unknown quality..

So, more importantly than my ramble... any comments on the quality useability of the Innova Pro tyre... ??

There is Innova and Innova Pro. The latter are the lightweight tyres.

I happened upon a pair of Innova Pro Cobra Skin 26x2.0 for cheaps and thought i would give them a shot. They come up more like a 1.75 than a 2.0 and they are super light at 410, or thereabouts.
I have done alot of miles on them, on various surfaces, and i can honestly say they are one of, if not, the best tyres i have used. They will never be any good in mud but everything else has been amazing. These are on a drop bar mtb and i run them at 40psi with Vittoria latex tubes and no punctures yet as they have a thin defence in the carcass.

I was a Conti speedking RS 26x2.2 fanboy, but these are way way better in every regard.
