I'm gathering the bits to rebuild my DB frame. As much as possible I am using UK made items (Hope hubs and BB, USE seatpost and bars, X-lite bar ends, Middleburn cranks etc), but when it comes to saddles, I'm at a bit of a loss.

I have never so much as looked at a Brooks, let alone sat on one, so I don't know what they are like. I have owned Flite titanium's before, and they did not suit, then there is of course the legendary Turbo (never owned one).

So, what would you suggest for a long legged 6 foot, 12 1/2 stone bloke who prefers to sit than stand, unless it's fast, technical and downhill.

Neil.....why dont you start a build thread for your roberts...?

Nothing to show yet. Just a green and white frame with a hole where it shouldn't be.

I am taking lots of pictures though, so once things get moving I can post something worthwhile.

x-lite pss1?

What are they like? Comfy?

I know USE used to make (market) a saddle, anyone have any thoughts on that?

Of course I could try and find an old, well used Brooks, from what my son tells me, I don't want a new one, as he said until they have really worn in they are like (and I paraphrase this) 'introducing your gentlemanly parts repeatedly to large pieces of aggregate'

Followed an advert link on this forum to Charge's web site, and thence to Wiggle (drove past their place last week on business), and now have a Cro-mo rail Spoon on it's way in black.

I shall slap it on the Zaskar, and if I like it, it will either go on the DB, or I'll get the titanium rail version for the DB.

Anyway, got it sorted for now.
