Roberts White Spider & Serotta Proflex

I’m thinking of thinning out a little as I have been in build mode this year. I’m a little rusty on sale prices as I’m not really a sale person…

First is the Roberts. This was a total restoration umpteen years ago and since then it’s sat unused but stared at constantly. Chrome dropouts front and rear. Everything is NOS, NOS suntour XC-Pro group, Mavic rims, Michelin Tyres (now cracking), Turbo saddle, Tuf-Neck bars and other bits. The cranks are one of the only used parts along with the king headset, but I might swap them out for some Middleburns:

I know everyone will say ‘split’, but what would that bring in?

The other one is the KG Engineering Offroad Proflex. It’s one of the rare Serotta built ones. This is probably best sold as a frame and stem but, what do people think?

Go on then, I will take punt, have sold a whole heap of xc pro reasonably recently.

I think, with a very rough using fingers calculation, £900 or there abouts for the Roberts in bits...possibly a touch more if lucky......if you can get £400 to £450 for the frame fork and stem. Prices are a bit depressed as is the number of buyers, but its nice stuff and nice seems to sell still.

Clean xc pro in excellent condition still gets good money for show queen builds, plus xt thumbies always sell....

The proflex I have no idea as its a pretty niche market...bit marmite.
