Ceramic or not ceramic?

Hi folks, bought a bunch of XTR brake pads advertised as non-ceramic, however they came in boxes with “for use with ceramic rims” crossed out.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to identify whether they are ceramic or not?

Typically ceramic pads are a greenish-grey colour. Normal are black.

Ceramic pads are not very flexible/rubber like compared to normal pads.
