I don't trust any commercial reviewers, magazines or websites in any way when it comes to any consumer product. they just bullshit their way through - knowing full well that advertisers and manufacturers would drop them in an instant the second any genuine criticism arose

I agree. I've found that they're rather intolerant towards genuine budget kit as well. Plenty of modern components that cost **** all that are incredible value, but then you have some BikeRadar nutter reviewing it, comparing it to high end componentry.
