Haven't done it myself on dual pivots and don't have any to hand to look at, but I'd have thought it's possible, just a bit fiddly. Unless it's permanently bonded on some brakes?

Yes, done it loads. You'll really need to know your way around their construction but it's quite do-able.

Well, I could be wrong of course. But in '77 and '78 he rode for Gitane-Campagnolo so probably wouldn't have been using Mafac CP's.

Do you have a copy of the mag now?

on the I-phone with the said cycling mag on my knee, Shows a peugeot
BP Michelin rider with gold centre pulls on what looks like
an alpine pass with yellow jersey. Helicopter overhead ready
to do it's stuff lol
