This was a machine I purchased form Ebay last month, I picked it up from Eroica Britannia as a good friend of mine picked this up from Huddersfield. The machine dates from c1955 and is on an E prefix frame number. This will be a long term restoration project. Im hoping to replace some of the components, but intend to keep a few! I like the double chainset but things like the saddle and rear mech will go. I thinking of getting the frame resprayed professionally in the same colour with new decals. The front forks will need to be refinished too. The frame is 531 tubing (not sure of the forks) and uses Nervex lugs and Cyclo drop outs. Im hoping to have it ready maybe for Eroica next year. The cycle, though it looks rough, is quite rideable. Apologies for the large number of images, but this is how the machine looks at the moment, I probably won't start any work on it until later in the year. The bike has a very good original Carradice bag as well as super plastic guards. I think it was upgraded to 10-speed in the 80s. Brakes are Weinmann 730s with rather fetching anodised red hooded levers.
