I have what appears to be a 1997 Gary Fisher team issue carbon fibre hardtail. Normally I can research a bike with no problem, but having trouble with this though. One person told me that it was only ever sold as a frame only option.
And it looks strikingly similar to the carbon hardtail that Paola Pezzi rode on way to Olympic gold in Atlanta '96. Not best pics I know but poor camera on this tablet.
Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

Re:

Yeah I know oclv is Treks baby, didn't they take over Fisher in 97ish?
But I'm after info on this specific frame and build.Cheers

I remember Fisher using the Trek OCLV Frame on the Procaliber/Supercaliber (one of the two, if not both)in the late 90’s. Not seen that colour though, as the ones we sold were black and dark green.

The build you’ve got there looks like too much of a mish mash of parts, I’m guessing that very little is original.

It could well be a model from a different region, or indeed, as you say, a frame only option.

Trek bought GF in 1993.

I am pretty sure that the tri-colour colourway was put on the Supercaliber bikes - the yellow/orange combo was used on a number of bikes that I sold BITD but the 3rd colour (black) only went on the SuperCal.

They did a Paola Pezzo olympic edition in 1996, it was similar to this, but came as a full build.

Neither that nor yours are in the catalogues for those years.

It's basically a TREK OCLV in a different frock.

Nice lightweight frames.

Just a quick question. I have posted this bike in the "how much is my xyz worth " page. Is that classed as cross thread? I really have no idea, and as fairly new on here I don't want to be breaking rules/annoying people. I posted on here to gather more info, then seen the other page and thought why not see if I can get rough valuation.

Thanks
