Cantilever -> V Brake cable routing

What are the most common ways to adapt a frame meant for cantis to take V brakes? I have a Problem Sovlers clamp on cable stop on one of my bikes but they are quite expensive and don't look that great. Was wondering if there's a more elegant solution to be had.

Not sure what you're doing but can't you just mount the V brakes and use the cable noodle?

Here's the bike, it's got no cable routing around the seatpost as it uses a clamp-on band for cantilever routing.

Run a whole outer noodle to lever and clip it / cable tie it on?

Hmm, yeah I suppose. Not very elegant though.

You could use those nice chome 50s clips.

Xlc make some too and you can get a gazillion of them on Big Ali

I have seen the bolt on the Kona dog collar replaced with a cable adjuster and turned 90 degrees. The brake cable outer then sits in the ‘head’ of the cable adjuster. Not done it myself though.
