Two new arrivals turned up yesterday so decided to do a quick resto of the wee Dale before i say goodbye to it.
The Inn is now full so have to move a few of the collection on so i'll start with the little ones first.

First up get the forks off and regrease the headset, doesn't look its been done in a while. It's going to be a Deore DX build, i've got spare a groupset and i love how it looks all polished up just a really nice groupset in my eyes.
A couple of the parts below what i've cleaned up and serviced.

The wheels don't look to bad so shouldn't take long to clean and there spinning nicely so all good there,to be honest i'd forgot i even had them until i tidied up and i found a load of other stuff aswell :facepalm:

Front wheel done and fitted with new tube and tyre, bit more shinier than before, now to the back wheel.

On another note i realised i can't use those straddles on the front or back because there's nowhere to put the outer cable, so what's going on with the force 40's what are they meant to do? Are they meant to spring back when you move them because mine just spin round and why do they have a spring in the back it doesn't seem to do anything, took spring out whole thing bar backing plate spins round put spring back same thing spins round. I had a look on Google and it seems most people say they're a pain in the arse to set up so as a back up i've bought a new stem

That's the rear wheel finished and cassette on, all what's left to do now is clean the frame and forks up and start building.
