Thanks for that - must have got serial no wrong as it does not correspond to any on that info page - I'll have another look tomorrow

Yep 1992 - same as mine apart from the colour of the down tube decals

Decals I belive were replaced by previous owner - it does look like the Manitous are the way to go to keep it's character - or I might just go a different way :roll:

Been riding this bike now since I got it and cleaned it up and added a new chain and shod with conti top tourings as my pub bike. Love it - but now want to move on with some bits to make it special.

Hate the stem

Yup...

Cannondale's suggestion for my first M800 was to drip linseed oil into the seat tube...

...I'm dead serious...you can't make this &#$%%# up! :shock:

Still a bad ass bike. You could just wear earplugs!
