Cannondale M800 (Light Project)

It probably won’t. I’m treating it mean and keeping it keen though 🤣 My integrity checker is steps and off-road.
Keep "treating it mean and keeping it keen" I have an old M400 (90's Frame) with Cro-Mo 1" forks, I bought it in 2014 to get about on, the frame, especially the rear stays are so bashed and dented from previous owners - however it still holds up with no issues.

Looking good 🙂 My Cannondale is my favourite bike at the minute. It’s great fun! I might end up getting it repainted if I don’t break it beforehand.
Just check your steerer tube if you have the Pepperoni forks on the bike you own, am unsure what year your bike is, however there was a recall on the alloy steerer before they moved to a chromoly steerer on those forks.

Just tackle those fifteen steps at a time rather than your sixty 🤪

I’ve just looked back at the video. Looks like a steel steerer so I can continue to keep acting like a child 🤪

Ok base the coat on the frame is completed, however am having a "lacquer" debate with myself, more to follow on that! I carefully masked off the original decals and the "faint" line around the decals will blend in with the several top lacquer coats. Hopefully!

I have fired in an old external BB to protect the threads from over spray.

Oh this is coming along nicely! could you elaborate on how you are painting the frame? I went to a professional painter for my fork, awesome bloke who also helped me with “not” retouching the scratches in my m800 frame…

I note that you quoted "He also encouraged me in my bonkers decision to highlight the scratches in the bike" - with the Yellow on the frame? Looks like an old pair of vintage Levi's :)

I have taken a slightly different approach, I can elaborate a bit more when am finished it, to be honest I can do it but its not the most thrilling job for me, it bores me stupid.

Thanks for the comment @zeroFOXgiven

🤔 not sure if that’s a good thing…
I’m merely just following threads like yours so i can delude myself i could do this just to keep going.
My comment was a question "with the Yellow on the frame?" am unsure what you or your painter has done?

If it was that it looks actually fantastic.

Hopefully I can blend in the head tube decal with 3000 grit - and the new top coats of lacquer will "fade" it in okies!

Okey, getting there slowly. Frame with 2K lacquer. I need to touch up the fork, and finish the F&F off - but am getting there with a lot of 3000 grit Wet n' Dry etc etc. I have re-painted the complete frame with the original base coat colour, keeping the original decal stickers, masking them off, then 2K lacquer. More to follow soon.
